NASA has added new digital surface and terrain models to its Satellite Data Explorer tool. These models, part of Vantor’s Precision3D Product Line, include a Digital Surface Model (DSM) at 1-meter spatial resolution, a Digital Terrain Model (DTM) at 1-meter spatial resolution, and an Elevation Bundle (DSM + DTM) at 1-, 2-, and 4-meter spatial resolution. The DSM provides precise measurements across all surfaces and terrains, suitable for urban planning, environmental monitoring, disaster response, and terrain mapping. The DTM offers bare-earth elevation data for analyzing terrain and topography, while the Elevation Bundle combines both products for a detailed view of above-ground features and bare earth. These models aim to provide reliable elevation information for various applications such as slope analysis and flood modeling.
