Breaking News: NASA Astronaut Jonny Kim to Discuss Eight-Month Space Station Mission


NASA astronaut Jonny Kim recently completed an eight-month mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Kim will discuss his experiences during a news conference on Friday, Dec. 19, at 3:30 p.m. EST from NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Those interested can watch the news conference live on NASA’s YouTube channel. For media personnel wishing to participate in person, they must contact the NASA Johnson newsroom by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, at 281-483-5111 or jsccommu@mail.nasa.gov. Media representatives joining by phone must also contact the Johnson newsroom at least two hours before the event starts and dial in 15 minutes before the scheduled time.

Kim returned to Earth on Dec. 9 alongside Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky after spending 245 days as a flight engineer for Expedition 72/73. During his mission, Kim was involved in various scientific investigations and technology demonstrations, including studying bioprinted tissues with blood vessels in microgravity, aiming to enhance space-based tissue production for medical purposes on Earth.
