NASA astronaut Chris Williams will be answering prerecorded STEM questions from students in Pennsylvania while aboard the International Space Station. The Earth-to-space call is scheduled for 12:20 p.m. EST on Thursday, Feb. 5, and will be live-streamed on NASA’s Learn With NASA YouTube channel.
Media outlets interested in covering the event must RSVP by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, to Tamara Krizek at 917-692-5038 or tamara.krizek@davincisciencecenter.org.
The Da Vinci Science Center will be hosting the event in Allentown, Pennsylvania, for students in kindergarten through grade 12, as well as members of the community. This unique opportunity aims to enhance understanding of space exploration and motivate young individuals to consider a future career in STEM.
Astronauts have been living and working on the space station for over 25 years, conducting experiments, testing technologies, and acquiring the necessary skills for future space explorations. They are in constant communication with NASA’s Mission Control Center in Houston through the Space Communication and Navigation (SCaN) system.
