Breaking News: NASA Marks Milestone in Preparation for Artemis IV Testing

Preparations for the Artemis IV mission, which aims to return humans to the Moon, are well underway at NASA’s Stennis Space Center. A recent water system activation milestone at the Thad Cochran Test Stand tested new cooling systems essential for the Green Run test series of NASA’s exploration upper stage.

The upgraded upper stage, known as the evolved Block 1B version of the Space Launch System (SLS), features a more powerful four-engine liquid hydrogen/liquid oxygen in-space stage. This stage is designed to support the Artemis IV mission and enable future lunar exploration efforts. The activation milestone successfully captured critical data to ensure the readiness of the new systems for the upcoming mission.
