NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory has released a new version of the Chandra Source Catalog (CSC), containing X-ray data captured up to the end of 2020. This catalog serves as a comprehensive collection of cosmic recordings gathered by Chandra, NASA’s leading X-ray telescope. Named CSC 2.1, the catalog comprises over 400,000 distinct compact and extended sources, along with more than 1.3 million individual X-ray detections.
