NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope and Curiosity rover have been recognized in TIME’s “Best Inventions Hall of Fame.” This prestigious list acknowledges the 25 most groundbreaking inventions of the past quarter-century, with a significant global impact. Since TIME began its annual Best Inventions list in 2000, these inventions have been celebrated in TIME’s December print issue.
Nicky Fox, associate administrator of the Science Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington, commended the teams behind these remarkable achievements. The James Webb Space Telescope and the Mars Curiosity Rover represent the cutting-edge science and engineering that push the boundaries of human exploration.
