Breaking News: Stellar Duo

NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope recently captured an image featuring a vibrant star called V 372 Orionis and its companion in the Orion Nebula, a major site of star formation about 1,450 light-years away from Earth.

V 372 Orionis belongs to a group of variable stars known as Orion Variables. These young stars display fluctuations in brightness due to their dynamic nature and growth processes, with the irregular variations in luminosity visible to astronomers. It is common for Orion Variables to be found in diffuse nebulae, and the patchy gas and dust of the Orion Nebula are evident in the image.
