
Former Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong is set to join Qatari club Al Ahli SC from Al Kholood, DAILY POST reports.
Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed Troost-Ekong’s imminent departure on Monday.
“Nigerian defender William Troost-Ekong is signing in Qatar for Al Ahli SC from Saudi club Al Kholood,” Romano wrote on X.
The 32-year-old joined Al Kholood from Greek club, PAOK in August 2024.
The centre-back scored twice in 45 league appearances for the club.
He announced his retirement from international football a few weeks before the start of the just concluded 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
